I wrote this song when I was a veteran and was reflecting on my nearly 7 years in the Air Force, and how I was treated as a woman veteran. There was a point that I almost didn't release this song, but I felt God convict me that other military girls needed it as much as I did. I felt like he was telling me that he sees the affliction of military girls- how they serve, how many are abused, and how they are often forgotten, and how they are often not appreciated as much as thier male peers. This song was for me, but it's also for them.
I feel like it's important to share that this experience makes me appreciate even more the sacrifices of those who served and I believe veterans deserve honor and respect.
Thank you veterans for your service. And thank you military girls. My sisters in arms.
